The Quest for Two

Wisconsin Rapids, WI August 15, 2010. After a thrilling comeback win Saturday night the Rafters will try for back-to-back wins for the first time in the second half tonight.

A six run bottom of the eighth inning Saturday night will give the Rafters a look at two in a row tonight. Trailing 5-1 into the inning the Rafters notched six hits, including a pair of two our RBI knocks to take a two run lead into the ninth.

The Rafters last won back to back games on the 26^th and 27^th of June in Battle Creek. On the year the Rafters are now 5-3 against the Bombers.

Dan Johnson will make his final start of the season Sunday evening. The right-hander is still searching for his first win of the season. Johnson worked into the sixth inning of his last three full starts. Johnson held Battle Creek to a .167 average across two appearances against them this season.

With a two RBI single in the six run eighth for the Rafters last night Ryan Palermo continued his tear at the plate to end the season. The Rafters third baseman has nine hits and five runs batted in over the last six games.
