La Crosse, WI- August 9, 2010. With just two more games left against the Loggers the Rafters have a chance, starting tonight at Copeland Park, to end the season with an even record against La Crosse. First pitch tonight is set for 7:05.
Into the final two games, the first at Copeland Park, the second at Witter Field, the Rafters have a 3-5 record against the Loggers. Through the first eight games the Rafters have hit just .203 against La Crosse but have managed to win some tight ballgames.
Offensively the Rafters scored 20 runs and notched 28 base hits in the three games against the Woodchucks over the weekend. In two of the three games at least three Rafters compiled a multi-hit game. As a team the Rafters are hitting .221 into tonight’s game.
The Rafters return home Tuesday, August 10th to face the La Crosse Loggers on trading card night presented by Disabled American Veterans. The first 500 fans will receive a Rafters Trading card set. Gates open at 6:05 first pitch is at 7:05.
