Visit Wisconsin Rapids

Wisconsin Rapids and the surrounding areas are rich with history, culture, and beautiful geographical settings.  Nestled along the Wisconsin River, Wisconsin Rapids has a rich history in paper manufacturing, but is also an important locale for the cranberry industry.  More recently the city has developed a strong reputation for being a leader in technology with the emergence of Renaissance Learning, a global company that produces technology-based school improvement and student assessment for K-12 schools.  Wisconsin Rapids is also known well for its strong school system that also includes Mid-State Technical College.

The Wisconsin River provides beautiful scenery as well as hiking paths, prime fishing locations, and other water recreational opportunities.  Many lakes in the area afford alternate fishing venues to the Wisconsin River and nature trails to explore.  Multiple bike trails and beautiful golf courses are located throughout the area as well.

Make sure to soak up the scenery and experience all of the entertainment and community festivals held annually.  Cranberry Blossom Festival will be held June 21-24 this summer and includes a series of more than twenty events including live music, parade, arts and craft shows, cranberry blossom tours, and culinary treats featuring the cranberry!

The Fourth of July in Wisconsin Rapids expands the community population by as many as 15,000 people, as the city is well known for having the best fireworks display in the area.  It is an all-day affair that allows families a chance to get together during the day and enjoy a great evening viewing the fantastic fireworks display over the Wisconsin River.
