A Tribute to the Fans!

Wisconsin Rapids, WI – September 1st, 2010.  Almost everyone who attended a Rafters game this year felt the excitement in the air before, during, and after a game.  That thrill in large part is provided by you, the Witter Field faithful.

Over 46,500 fans entered through the gates of historic Witter Field during the 2010 inaugural season, ranking the Rafters 7th out of 16 teams in the Northwoods League in attendance.  An average attendance of 1,368 per game is an impressive feat, considering Wisconsin Rapids is the third smallest market in the Northwoods League.

Ballparkbiz.com also recently came out with their annual Summer Collegiate Attendance Rankings and the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters came in at #24 in all of Summer Collegiate Baseball throughout the country.

“Our hats go off to the community for the tremendous support they have shown in our first year,” said general manager Liz Kern.  “We hope to make many more memories again in 2011 and beyond.”
